2016 – 2019
The Boweress was a Sydney-based digital platform and content studio, founded and directed by Lucy Pero. For three years it celebrated women across creative, commercial, and activist spheres — through long-form profiles, editorial features, photography, and brand work. It closed in 2019, and what you see here is the archive.
“We believe there is a symbiotic relationship between a connection to habitat and a sense of collaboration.”
Selected Work
Editorial
16 original features published across The Boweress platform — spanning travel, food, art, culture, and the places that matter.
Community
The BowerBirds series was The Boweress’s signature editorial project: 20 in-depth profiles of women who were building things, changing things, and living on their own terms. Artists, chefs, engineers, activists, entrepreneurs, performers.
Each profile was a proper interview — long-form, thoughtful, and honest. The kind of content that doesn’t get made enough.
